On Tuesday, September 26th, the Libertarian Party of Miami-Dade County approved a new Secretary following the departure of Keon A. Grayson, who chose to resign in order to focus on his elected Community Council position.
The Executive Committee of the LPMDC approved unanimously Martin Golob, from Precinct 820 (Palmetto Bay) as the new Secretary of the affiliate.
As such, Mr. Golob will be in charge of keeping and organizing the records of the party, taking minutes at meetings, preparing agendas, and organizing the affiliate's annual convention in April.
Keon Grayson, who was elected to the position last April, announced his resignation last week in order to focus on his term as Community Councilman for the North Central area, the largest unincorporated area in Miami-Dade County, including almost 100,000 people. As such, Councilman Grayson is in charge of handling all zoning change requests in the district.
Mr. Golob will be a great asset to the party. A strong and active Secretary is one that helps the party remain organized through its phases of expansion. Marc Golob has been active with the party since early 2013, making him one of the affiliate's founders.
