As Early Voting begins throughout South Florida, the Libertarian Party of Miami-Dade County is ramping up its campaigning on the statewide constitutional amendments that are certain to affect the future of the Sunshine State.
As part of the new effort, the party is releasing two new campaign ads that will be targeting voters in Miami-Dade County, and in particular the Brickell and Downtown Miami populations.
The first ad will be in opposition to Amendment 1, the constitutional amendment that would, if passed, ban third party solar energy and grant large utility companies a complete monopoly over installing solar energy. The Libertarian Party of Florida has been one of the founding supporters of Floridians for Solar Choice, a group of activists from all sides of the political spectrum that oppose the fossil fuel companies' special benefits from the State government.
The second ad is to support Amendment 2, the constitutional amendment that will legalize medical marijuana for debilitating conditions, such as epilepsy. The amendment is likely to pass, with 80% of likely voters in favor of the proposal in a recent poll.
The ads are narrated by Marcos Miralles, Vice-Chairman and Spokesman for the Libertarian Party of Miami-Dade County.
