With the rise of the Libertarian Party as a viable alternative to the failing two-party system, the Miami-Dade County Elections Department started earlier this year to include the Libertarian Party in its district breakdown of voter registration numbers.
In other words, the public has been able to see exactly how many Libertarian voters live in each congressional, state, and local districts and in each municipality of Miami-Dade County. This data has helped us paint a new picture of our numbers and to plan better strategies.
For instance, this data has shown us that we need to progress a lot more in African American communities, but that our presence is the most significant in South Dade.
Unfortunately, the Elections Department has removed the Libertarian Party from its data breakdown this month. You can see the breakdown here.
